The finale of Penthouse 2 premiered today, and it left us a lot to think about until June.

First I want to start out with some general thoughts about the last few episodes before we get to the Olympian theory. If you haven’t seen my original Olympian theory, I do recommend watching that first, as it lays the groundwork for a lot of what I am talking about.

I am really glad that all of the characters have faced the consequences of their actions. I think that the reversal of the redemption arc of Jenni and her mom was a little confusing now that they are both basically back where they started. I can’t help but feel like something is still off, well, obviously something is off… that old man was literally Joo Dantae, so he really isn’t suffering the consequences if he can walk freely out of jail. I suspect that season 3 will end with his death.

I was really here for Logan and his relationship with Shim Suryeon in the first season, but in the second season their relationship was just… awkward. I think it makes sense for him to be an actual death, but if we didn’t see an autopsy and the popular theory right now is that his face will be burned and they’ll recast, I think it’s a possibility that he is alive. Personally, I’m all for a new love interest for Shim Suryeon, but I still love Logan Lee.

As far as general predictions goes, I think that a few things we can expect is a time jump and a very wild ride. We know that Joo Dantae can get out of prison, so really, he is still the main villain. I do wonder though, is Joo Dantae working for Jenni’s dad or is it the other way around. I can’t imagine that anyone who was sent to prison to take the fall for something would so willingly help them once they find themselves in prison.

Provided that there is a time jump, It would make sense to see the kids in, or freshly out of, college. We’ve already seen a taste of confrontation in the finale beyond high school-fueled animosity (if you can even call the horrific bullying simply “high school fueled”). They have new grudges and I think that we can expect them to have a new sense of hatred for each other while their parents are in prison.

Now, here’s where the Olympian theory fits in to all of this. Both Apollo and Artemis have very interesting myths in Greek mythology. Apollo has an important role in Homer’s Illiad, however he did support the Trojans, which, in my original video I associated with the “morally unsound” people of Hera Palace. I still think that association is true for them especially in the first season, but I think we are moving to a new chapter in the 3rd season where we will see some new aspects of their personalities. To me the twins, Joo Seokhoon and Joo Seokkyung, have the weakest connection to my Olympian theory beyond them being twins and having an obvious place in my theory because of that. If, in season 3, we see an increase in their involvement, which to me would make sense considering their popularity, there are a ton of famous myths to choose from. One famous myth surrounding Artemis is her association with Orion. There are many different versions of this myth, but a few include Orion being a lover of Artemis, and Apollo, trying to protect Artemis, tricks her into shooting Orion with one of her arrows. Another version has Artemis killing Orion for attempting to seduce either her or on of her female companions. There is another important version where either Apollo, Artemis, or Gaia sends a scorpion to kill him for various reasons. This is all due to the Orion constellation and its relation to other constellations, and there are a lot of other myths surrounding Orion because of that.

Thinking about how we can translate this to Kdrama-like events, I think that there is a possibility that there will be a love interest for Seokkyung in season three. Possibly, someone peruses her and she isn’t interested. She could even possibly be stalked by someone. I think that if we go with one of the myths mentioned, there is going to be an issue surrounding a love interest/stalker of Seokkyung, and Seokhoon tries to protect her. This could show up in MANY forms, but I do think it would be an interesting plot to see in season 3.

Apollo is another god that has so many myths attached to him. One story I was reading was his association with Heracles. I’ve said this many times before, but I believe that the Heracles myth would be a very interesting plot to address. For this reason I think that one way this could manifest is a secret love child of Joo Dantae could appear in season 3. I think that this character could possibly start out as a villain-type character to earn the anger of Shim Suryeon, but the twins could help him in some way, and it could end with his adoption by Shim Suryeon. That is basically a very loose application of the Heracles myth to the world of Penthouse, but since Shim Suryeon is basically adopting everyone it isn’t too far fetched. We could possibly apply Heracles to Bae Rona, as she has gone through trials and is a generally strong character emotionally, but I do personally really want to see a new interesting plot there. I think that it is a possibility for Bae Rona to be this manifestation of Heracles as well.

All we have to do now is wait…
